This event will be hosted by singer/songwriter Tim McGraw, with performances by Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Justin Moore, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton, Trace Adkins, Darius Rucker, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban and the Zac Brown Band.

The 2010 CMA Festival was held June 10-13 at Nashville’s LP Field, home of the Tennessee Titans.

In addition to the performances, the television premier will also include a sneak peak at Taylor Swift’s upcoming single, “Mine,” as well as behind the scenes looks at Lady Antebellum’s day at the festival, and more!

Up to this point, Aldean’s summer has been dominated by state and county fairs and various music festival appearances. This fall outing will  be a step up for him with the slate of arena shows, mainly in the south and midwest. Highlights include Biloxi, MS, Columbia, SC, Corpus Christi, TX, Madison, WI, Fort Wayne, IN, and Birmingham, AL.

Jason was excited about his extended tour, exclaiming, “The music will be loud, the beer will be cold, and the college football will be on every TV backstage and in the parking lot!”

Now on their last tour, Brooks and Dunn are bringing in tons of people who don’t want to miss the last chance to see them together. Though the two still have a summer full of performances ahead, they have already made their final stops in Canada and will be playing in the U.S. only from May 14 on.

Aldean is using the opportunity for exposure to more fans who haven’t heard his work, but would surely like it. At the May 2 Vancouver show, Aldean and his 4-piece band played 50 minutes of music, including “Crazy Town” and “Amarillo Sky.”

Following the end of Brooks and Dunn’s tour on July 31, Aldean tickets will still be on sale for solo performance through Sept. 18.

The relative  newcomer to country is enjoying the momentum building in his successful career, and he is celebrating with his own solo outing, as well as a series of dates this spring and early summer riding shotgun for Brooks and Dunn on their “Last Rodeo Tour.” This outing is to be their last before the two veterans officially retire.

But Aldean clearly has a long and bright future ahead of him. Summer plans include several festival appearances, a show with Miranda Lambert, and the rest of his headlining tour with Luke Bryan.

The event will take place at LP Field in Nashville, Tenn., June 10-13, 201o, with half of the net proceeds donated to benefit music education in the public schools in and around Nashville. Last year’s attendance broke all previous records and organizers are counting on a good turnout again this year, thanks in part to fresh faces like Aldean.

Other performers lending their talent to the lineup include Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum Carrie Underwood and the Zac Brown Band.

Aldean was announced earlier this month with Dierks Bentley and Montgomery Gentry.  Already announced were Kenny Chesney, Kid Rock, Keith Urban, Randy Houser, Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Joe Nichols and Gretchen Wilson.

On his official Web site, Aldean says that he and Luke Bryan “grew up playing in some of the same clubs down in Georgia, so it will be really cool to have him out with us. . . He’s a total trip, so we’ll definitely have some laughs backstage every night. I’m pumped about this tour, and I can’t wait to take a few weeks off for the holidays and get right back out there.”

Aldean will also be at another awards show on Nov. 22—the 37th American Music Awards! Aldean recently snagged his first career nomination for the “Favorite Male Artist” in the country category. But it looks like he’s got some tough competition: Keith Urban and Darius Rucker have also been nominated.

“The AMA’s are one of the coolest award shows of the year…you never know what you’re going to see. One of my first memories of the show was the year Michael Jackson came out carrying Emmanuel Lewis…crazy! It’s great that I’ll get to be a part of it this year. I’ll be easy to spot since I’m sure I’ll be the only guy in the room representin’ with a cowboy hat!” Aldean said.

Wide Open reached the No. 2 spot on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart and No. 4 on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 chart.

“I knew that there was some excitement building for the new album because the crowds at our shows have been crawling the walls when we break into ‘She’s Country.’ I just had no idea that it would be this big. This blows my mind. I feel like the luckiest guy in the world right now,” Aldean said.
